The AI Art Generator Just Made Another Logo

It’s been definitely decided, Computers are smarter than humans. Well not exactly, but the AI art generator just had their waitlist removed and I’m having too much fun. I present the new gear nerd magazine cover.

Honestly I don’t know what’s going on and how text is being generated, but I dig the Mohawk. The prompt I fed was “the gear nerd. A less serious guide to gear”. DALL-E uses AI and the library of the internet to generate images from text prompts. You can also feed in an image and edit certain parts of it with a text prompt. In the next example I fed in a photo of myself backcountry skiing from Paradise at Rainier with the prompt “meeting a blue alien named Bob in space”.

This tool is way too much fun and I already spent $15 on credits within the hour. There’s other competitors out there as well such as stable diffusion and

My favorite thing to render is dreams. Check out my buddy Ed’s dream where he dreamed we tried to float to Japan, but had to be rescued by the coast guard off the coast of Japan. Honestly sounds fun minus the coast guard rescue. Here’s the prompt: “Two men in river tubes floating to Japan. The coastguard comes to rescue them off the coast of California. Oil painting.”

In the future any stock image business an stock model is about to get wrecked once this is perfected. In the meantime the images generated aren’t always perfect and can be pretty weird. While we wait for the reverse Google where Google creates the content to be perfected the gear nerd is about to get some real strange images generated and maybe some AI generated articles in the future. Who knows maybe this site just becomes a cash grab of nonsensical AI generated articles with even stranger images.
