Not your Dad’s Mountain Bike Shorts

Recently I have found the best bike shorts around for under $60. This would be the Handup glove A.T. bike shorts. There are plenty of bike shorts out there some have more pockets or more tech or a better chamois, but in general, nobody fucking cares. The number one reason to wear bike shorts is to not lose your phone because they have a zipper. I want a pair of shorts that look normal and don’t lose my phone. Nobody wants to walk into the bar after biking looking like some sort of tactical dork loser with tons of baggy pockets. Also realistically when your pockets are full of shit it’s hard to bike. Handup gloves deliver with a sick pair of shorts that are affordable, look good, and have zippered pockets.

Testing sendability

Handup glove shorts are basic slim-fit shorts, with a nine-inch inseam and two zippered pockets with a flap to cover them. The fit is fantastic because frankly I have a nice ass and ripped thighs from all my biking and these shorts do a great job at putting it on display. They also tout a nine-inch inseam which unlike most bike shorts is not too long. Thanks for looking after the shorter homies. I’m sick and tired of looking like a nineties slim shady. Finally, there are two zippered pockets with a nice little seam to cover the fact that you have zippered pockets which would have been helpful in not losing my last two wallets. Handup keeps it simple with a nice little string to tighten the waste and best of all they’re only $54.

The only complaint some riders might have is that it doesn’t come with a chamois. I’d argue this is better because every cheap or Amazon brand bike short I’ve ever bought with a chamois never stacks up. I’d rather stick with my fancy pants pearl Izumi ones and just through a cooler pair of these shorts on top. Color options are also pretty slick, with all of these options pretty great to wear to the bar or around the mountain without looking like a dork.

There are plenty of other bike shorts out there that I like such as the Zoic ether nine or the Patagonia dirtroamers which I’m yet to try, but for $54 these shorts are hard to beat. I’ve also had a few off-brand shorts from Amazon and mountain equipment wear house that both didn’t hold up and looked way too loserville while not biking. The Handup glove bike shorts have taken place as my new favorite shorts. Even though summer is over I look forward to wearing these for the rest of bike season and all next summer, so I can finally stop losing my wallet.  I’m also looking forward to acquiring a pair of their pant versions which look pretty slick but will probably need some hemming to fit this lean meatball.

TLDR: Affordable bike shorts that don’t make you look like a tactical dork, BYO chamois.

This is not a sponsored post built it totally should be. Let’s blow this up so I can get their pants for free.
